Huge Fuel Crisis Averted As Pakistan Secures 30-Day Oil Supply

Pakistan has managed to avert a potential fuel shortage crisis after multiple oil tankers began arriving at its ports this week.

Sources told ProPakistani that the government’s emergency energy supply planning during the ongoing war situation helped ensure uninterrupted fuel availability across the country.

A total of four oil tankers carrying more than 250,000 metric tons of petroleum products are scheduled to reach Pakistan within 24 to 72 hours, providing significant relief to the domestic fuel market.

According to port officials, three tankers have already reached Pakistan, while another vessel is expected to arrive on Wednesday afternoon.

The shipments were arranged from several international sources, including Saudi Arabia, Fujairah, Kuwait, and Singapore. The cargo was transported using alternative routes, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz and other sensitive shipping lanes.

The latest arrivals have helped secure around 30 days of petroleum stocks for the country.

At Port Qasim, several vessels have already docked or are scheduled to berth. The gas tanker MT Torum has anchored at the Damini Futco terminal, while MT Navey Atropos arrived on March 9 carrying about 50,000 metric tons of oil.

Another vessel, MT Spruce II, is expected to anchor at 8:30 pm on March 10 with 55,000 metric tons of petroleum products, while MTC Clipper is scheduled to arrive at 12 noon on March 11 carrying 34,000 metric tons.

ProPakistani was informed that a ship from Fujairah has already docked at Port Qasim, and additional vessels are expected in the coming days to maintain steady fuel supplies across the country.
