With the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), significant successes have been achieved in the exploration of energy reserves. The prosperity of the energy sector is a key priority for SIFC in promoting economic stability.
Thanks to SIFC’s assistance, OGDCL and Mari Petroleum Limited have discovered new gas reserves. The reserves discovered by OGDCL in Attock district will produce 13.95 million cubic feet of gas per day.
Mari Petroleum Limited has made two more significant gas discoveries in the Waziristan block of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, marking a crucial step toward energy self-sufficiency.
Additionally, gas reserves have been discovered in Dadu district of Sindh under the Kirthar Joint Venture between Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and the Polish Oil and Gas Company.
The discoveries by PPL, OGDCL, and Mari Petroleum Limited will increase energy reserves, boosting industrial development.
SIFC’s initiatives are expected to increase investment and production in the energy sector. These successes will not only help address gas shortages but also reduce reliance on imports. The successful energy discoveries with SIFC’s cooperation are promising for economic stability and industrial growth.
