Pakistan, Italy discuss enhanced collaboration in oil, gas

March 25, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Italy have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, including oil and gas, during a meeting between Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik and Italian Ambassador Marilina Armellin in Islamabad.

Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in energy exploration, technology transfer, and investment opportunities.

The Petroleum Minister welcomed the Italian delegation and reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to fostering international partnerships to address energy challenges and drive economic growth.

He recognized Italy’s expertise in the sector and expressed confidence in future joint ventures, as per the press release.

Ali Pervaiz Malik also extended an invitation to Italian energy companies to participate in the upcoming Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum, highlighting investment opportunities in the country’s energy landscape.

Italian Ambassador Marilina Armellin expressed Italy’s keen interest in supporting Pakistan’s energy sector, emphasizing the importance of strong partnerships to promote innovation and sustainability in energy production.

Both sides agreed to explore further avenues of collaboration for the mutual benefit of their respective energy sectors.
